Retalix (Nasdaq:RTLX) today maintained its tradition of patting investors. Two days after the first quarter of 2003 ended, the company, which makes software for retailers, said it will meet or beat analysts' forecasts for the quarter.

Retalix did not provide figures, but Menorah Gaon has estimated that it will report revenues of $20.6 million, and a net profit of about a million dollars. Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI ) estimates are far lower, with revenues set at $17.1 million, but the profit at the same million dollars.

For the fourth quarter of 2002, Retalix reported revenues of $22.5 million and a net profit if $1.8 million, or 15 cents per share.

For the year 2002, Retalix said revenues reached $76.5 million, up 29% from the previous year, and that it had netted $5.6 million, an increase of 39%.

This year too, it expects to present high growth or 20-25% in sales and 25-40% in profits.

Retalix will be publishing its full first quarter financials on May 13.
